-How
long does it take to create a document of my life story?
Since each story is unique, the time it can take to create their document can
vary. For a basic package with one interview and 30 photgraphs it usually takes
4-6 weeks (depending on scheduling and approval times).
-How
much does it cost?
The cost of your project depends on what package you choose and how many materials
you have. Please see our Packages page to get a
basic idea of the cost on our products.
-What
are the different options available to me?
There are many different ways to tell your story. A lot depends on the materials
you bring to the project and how the interviews are done and edited. We have
included samples of a few different ways you can put together your piece here
on our website. Visit our Samples page and read the
descriptions before viewing the samples videos.
-How
long will my finished product be?
Everyone’s story is different. Some people may have many stories to pass
on to the next generation and some may have a few. You may want to include
more than one interview in your video. Also, the amount of materials you have
helps to determine the length as well. If you have 50 photos that will take
longer to view than someone who only has 25.
-What
do you do for people who don’t want to be on camera?
There are other options for people who don’t like to be on camera. The
best option is an audio interview. This works well with their narration under
photographs or otehr existing film. Another option is to interview the subject
and then write a script based on their memories. With a professional narrator
under your images, you’ll be very satisfied with the finished project!
-Do
you have samples of your work on your website?
Yes, check out our Samples page to see Real Media
and QuickTime versions of some examples of our work.
-What
type of equipment do you use?
We use a Digital Video Camera to shoot your interview(s) and we also utilize
some audio and lighting equipment. To edit your program we use non-linear editing
software on a MacIntosh Computer and deliver the finished product on a DVD
or VHS tape.
-Can
I play the final DVD on my computer?
Yes, you’ll be able to play the autoplay DVD from your PC or Mac. as
well as most set top players. If there is a problem with playback on your set
top DVD player, please check this compatibilty list to
see if your set top DVD player is able to play DVD-Rs.
